Magnesium carbonate basic high purity. Magnesium carbonate (magnesium carbonate), salt, colorless crystals. At 500 °C markedly, and at 650 °C completely decomposes into MgO and CO2. The solubility of Magnesium carbonate in water (22 mg/l at 25 °C) and decreases with increasing temperature.
Magnesium carbonate (magnesium carbonate) is widely distributed in nature as the mineral Magnesite.
Application
The basic Magnesium carbonate 3MgCO3. Mg (OH)2.3H2O (the so-called white magnesia) is used
• as a filler in rubber compounds,
• for the manufacture of insulation materials,
• in medicine (accepted inside increasing the acidity, a part of the tooth powder).
Magnesium carbonate basic 4MgCO3·Mg(OH)2·nH2O used
• in medicine and pharmacy,
• in the food industry, as a dietary Supplement, E504, etc.
