Aqueous solutions of ammonia, in which it exists mainly in the form of ammonium hydroxide, are called ammonia water (industrial production of 25% ammonia solution, obtained by saturation of the synthetic gaseous ammonia water or ammonia formed in accountaing coal in coke ovens). Ammonia water is used to produce ammonium salts (nitrogen fertilizer), production of soda ash, dyes, etc., weak (usually 10%) solution — ammonia.
