Powermatic 209 HH thickness planer with a planer shaft helical
Offer type: salePublished: 16.09.2016
Under the American brand Powermatic offers best-in-class machines, designed for intensive professional use in the workshop industrial enterprises and demanding private masters with high hardware requirements. All of these requests meets the thickness planer Powermatic 209 HH. It is equipped with engine capacity of more than five kilowatts and has a massive rigid construction, all critical components which are made of cast iron (planing module, base conductors, Desk with extensions, etc.).
In the surface of the desktop is mounted the lower rollers to facilitate feeding of the workpiece. They are mounted on eccentric axles, which allow simple, fast and precise height adjustment of departure. On top of the machine are mounted two rollers for reverse feeding the machined workpiece.
The machine was originally equipped with the helical shaft. This is a very important distinction, thanks to which improves the quality of planing and significantly reduces maintenance frequency: carbide inserts with four cutting edges able to work for a long time, even on solid rocks, whereas conventional knives need regular sharpening, reinstall, and adjust.
Planing the shaft of the helical happens with less noise and vibration, which is perceived subjectively as a "soft" operation of the machine. For the treated surface characterized by the absence of breaks and knots "digs" of wood in the problem areas of the workpiece.
