Designed for blending powders including a small amount of liquid to obtain the final mixture with high homogeneity in the form of a granular mass.
Applications in various industries.
Ribbon mixers are mixers of periodic action and are divided:
1. The shape of the case:
- trough;
- cylindrical;
2. The presence or absence of the main body of the shirt to heat, or mix ingredients.
3. Discharge of the mixed product:
- through the side (end) wall of the mixer;
down the center or along the entire length (“like”);
- over the top-roll-over mixer ;
4. Type ribbon mixers, number of strips, the presence of additional tools for loosening sleepy mix of the masses.
5. Production material:
- carbon steel;
corrosion of steel;
6. The density of the mixed materials.
Mixing in the apparatus of this type is curved along a helix steel strips (tapes), which move mix material in a closed (sometimes sealed) or adapted to work under vacuum-shaped vessel with one end of the apparatus to another. Material movement in two opposite directions, necessary for the mixing is achieved by having two strips, bent at right and left helical lines. Band, providing the reverse movement of material, usually made smaller.
The mixing is due to the opposite directions of movement of the material caused by the tapes or by extrusion of the material strips to the sides. In addition, the material is raised by rotating ribbons, drops back in the mix mass is not at the place where it was taken, which significantly contribute to homogenization.
In one cycle the product is mixed 10-12 times.
Mixers are made to the individual needs of a particular customer.
The mixing time 4-6 min.
The degree of homogeneity of mixing up to 95%.
