Nitric acid (analytical grade)
Offer type: salePublished: 28.09.2016
Nitric acid (HNO3) is a strong monobasic acid. Solid nitric acid forms two crystalline modifications with monoclinic and orthorhombic lattices.
Nitric acid is miscible with water in all proportions. In aqueous solutions it dissociates almost completely into ions. It forms with water an azeotrope with a concentration of 68.4% and tкип120 °C at normal atmospheric pressure. There are two solid hydrate: monohydrate (HNO3·H2O) and the trihydrate (HNO3·3H2O).
Application
in the production of mineral fertilizers;
the military industry (fuming — in the manufacture of explosives like rocket fuel oxidizer diluted in synthesis of various substances, including toxic);
rarely in photos — diluted — acidification of some tinting solutions
in the easel chart — for etching printed forms (etching boards, zincographies typographic forms and magnesium clichés).
in the manufacture of dyes and drugs (nitroglycerin)
in the jewelry business — the main method of determining the gold in a gold alloy;
mainly organic synthesis (nitroalkane, aniline, nitrocellulose, TNT...)
