Gland expansion joint is a welded construction and consists of a body, nozzle, grandluxe, rear bushing, seals.
In the upper part on the surface of the shell Grund-boxes there are three holes through which to apply water resistant grease to the surface of the pipe.
The sealing gasket is installed the installation company and should consist of two elements woven asbestos gaskets installed from the rear bushings and rubber o-rings installed from the Grund-boxes.
Through bolts with nuts and washers is the tightness of the seal needed for compression past the surface of the pipe, preventing leakage of water or steam.
Gland expansion joint is installed in series in the tubing and welded it from both sides.
