The content of the basic substance is 99.8%.
Soda ash is used:
- to reduce water hardness; in particular to mitigate
water steam boilers;
- for degreasing metals;
for sulfation pig iron;
- in soap making and manufacture of washing powders;
- in manufacture of enamels to obtain the ultramarine;
- in glass production;
- as raw material in the production of chemicals.
