Hybrid sunflower "Salon F1 is one of the best creations of the French breeding and seed company RUSTICA, Groupe Euralis.

A worthy successor line hybrids "Alamo". Is highly resistant to dangerous diseases of sunflower - Phomopsis, Thomas, Sclerotinia, top, races the Broomrape (Orobanche). Hybrid drought-resistant, not prone to shattering and lodging of stalks.

The plant is medium maturing group. The period of full shoots to the physiological ripeness of the seeds 102 to 106 days. Has a strong root system. The stem height of about 170cm, not branched; characterized by a high degree of opulenti. Leaf blade secondary size with rough jagged edges. A basket of slightly convex form, medium size. Seeds of medium size, broadly ovate in shape, black in color with a barely noticeable gray stripes, or with a complete absence of the latter. Oil achenes 51-52%, the protein content of 15-17%.

The hybrid has an outstanding the yield. The tests showed the average yield in the zone of Steppes 28,5 kg/ha in the forest-Steppe zone of 29.6 kg/ha, which is higher than the average yield of sunflower 2.2 and 1.8 t/ha, respectively. The genetic potential of the hybrid "Salon F1" to C/ha. Very flexible and well adapted to growing in stressful conditions. "Salon F1" entered in the Register of varieties recommended for growing on the territory of Ukraine, in 2009.
