Cylinders mineral wool - cylinders and semi-cylinders of mineral wool on the basis of basalt rocks. There are laminated aluminum foil. Usually have have longitudinal slit for easy mounting on the pipeline.
Insulating cylinders are used for:
industrial thermal insulation of pipelines;
insulation of heating pipes and water supply;
insulation of pipelines;
pipe insulation with superheated steam;
isolation of flues and chimneys;
industrial thermal insulation equipment.
For thermal insulation of pipelines with negative temperatures, hot and cold water supply, heating systems underground duct installation, pipelines with variable operation mode (cooling - heating) should be used only hydrophobizated cylinders.
Properties of insulating cylinders:
low thermal conductivity;
chemical resistance to oils, solvents, acids, alkalis;
biostability;
high melting point fiber - more than 1000 °C);
unlimited shelf life;
high mechanical properties;
easy installation (hollow cylinders are cut along the entire length, very easy to snap into the pipe and secured with clips or, if the cylinder is not Kairouan or aluminum tape, when a cylinder covered with aluminum foil);
easy installation on the segments of the pipeline to isolate difficult areas.
