The lignosulfonates are natural water-soluble sulphonic derivatives of lignin. It's a mixture of different salts (mainly sodium) lignosulfonic acids with a hearty dash of reducing and mineral substances. Are anionic surface-active substances (surfactants).
They come in liquid and powder form: liquid is a homogeneous viscous liquid dark brown, powder - the powder from light brown to dark brown in color.
The viscosity of solutions of lignosulfonates depends on the nature of the cation and temperature, and a strong decrease in viscosity is observed at 20-40° C. a Concentrated solution of lignosulfonate at 100-120° C - very viscous slow-moving product, at 20° C solid monolith.
