Sludge is a waste product comprising dust and petty part thereof, which is obtained as a precipitate by washing any ore material.
Fused - synthetic corundum electric arc melting, artificial abrasive material. Composition: aluminum oxide, oxides of silicon, titanium, calcium and iron. Production technology: melting alumina-containing raw material in electric arc furnaces with the subsequent crystallization of the melt. Depending on the alumina content and characteristics of manufacturing technology there are several varieties: normal, white, unalloyed (CR, ti, Zr).
Elektrocorundum grains, powders and micropowders are widely used in the production of abrasive materials. In addition, the fused alumina is used for the manufacture of refractory, chemically inert products, ceramic parts, vacuum devices, insulators, in processes of ferrous metallurgy.
