Jerky (CAPB)

 

Cocamidopropyl betaine — (lauramidopropyl) amphoteric surfactant. Is a transparent or slightly turbid yellowish liquid with a weak a characteristic odor. Jerky is a surface-active substance.

Kok-aminopropylation and babassu-aminopropylation are interchangeable and almost identical in application.

Characteristics: boiling point: +212C; density: 1.043 g/ml at 25C; acidity: 5 - 6 (10% solution); the solubility in water.

Used as amplifier foam in shampoos, is also used in cosmetics as an emulsifier, thickener, antistatic agent in hair conditioners, exhibits antiseptic properties. Compatible with other cationic, anionic and nonionic surface-active substances.

The content of the main substance 46-48% of sodium chloride 6-7% . Its pH is 4.5 to 5.5. His combination with anionic surfactants leads to a significant improvement in the dermatological qualities of the final product.

Has good foaming and cleansing properties, increases the viscosity.

Cocamidopropyl betaine reduces the irritating effects of other surfactants. In combination with anionic surfactants becomes thickener, improves foaming ability and increases safety recipes. It has good cleansing and informerhome properties.

Generally non-toxic. There is evidence toxicity for the immune system and causing allergies. Acute oral toxicity: the lethal dose of 5g/kg (rats).Toxicity to eye and skin: irritant effect; eye in case of contact with these substances should rinse with water for 20 minutes.

Store in a tightly closed container in a cool, dark place.
