FPM is a high performance, heat and weather resistant rubber with excellent resistance to ozone, oxidation, mineral oils, fuels, hydraulic fluids, aromatics and other organic solvents and chemicals. FPM is usually colored in brown color.
Properties
FPM has a high resistance to temperatures and chemicals. Temperature range: 0oC to +200oC (short term up to +230oC). Due to the rich structure and chemical composition this material has excellent resistance to ozone, weather impact and ageing. Swelling in different media is very small, also in aromatic hydrocarbons. This material may also be used in high vacuum.
FPM does not burn.
Scope
FPM is mainly used in areas with high load temperatures and chemicals. Moreover, FPM is used in hydraulic systems with hard flammable hydraulic fluids of the group HFD, and how pragmatically element for seals of polyurethanes in biodegradable fluids.
Mainly used:
- special seals in the chemical industry and in heat engineering;
- the shaft seal;
- ring of circular cross-section;
- hydraulic seals for HFD-fluids.
