Enkamat is a structural three-dimensional (volumetric) polyamide Mat, the production company Colbond Geosynthetics GmbH (Germany), made of polyamide fibers, thermally bonded together at their intersections. More than 90% of the volume of material comprises voids that contribute to the effective retention of fine particles of soil and plant seed, thereby creating long-term reinforcement of the root system and permanent protection of surfaces from water or wind erosion.
