Sodium nitrate - nitrogen fertilizer that contains 16% nitrogen in nitrate form. Used on all types of soils for potatoes, dining room, and sugar beets, vegetables, fruit and ornamental plantings. Sodium nitrate is physiologically alkaline fertilizer, which slightly made soil alkaline, therefore, the most effective on acidic soils in combination with a water-soluble forms of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Sodium nitrate is mainly used in making early spring when row sowing making for sugar, fodder and beets and feeding during the growing season.
Limitations: do not mix sodium nitrate with superphosphate. Also it is better to refrain from the use of sodium nitrate on the salt, because it degrades the soil, and so excessively saturated sodium.
Sodium nitrate is widely used in the industry as:
- component solution for acid pickling of stainless steel pipes;
the ingredient salt greases for rolling mills stainless steel pipes;
accelerator cooking, obespechivali, Dodge glass;
- as a component of hardening baths in the Metalworking industry;
- used in rocket fuel, heat storage and pyrotechnic compositions;
- as a component of liquid salt coolants (salitran mixture).
