The oil gauge is designed for:
to determine the level of the liquid dielectric (hereinafter referred to as oil) in the extender oil of the transformer during its operation
to establish the expander normal oil level when filling them with transformer
for the issuance of an electrical signal at the minimum and maximum operating levels of oil in the expander
For the transformer with the extender, in which the oil is fully protected from contact with the ambient air (the extender with a flexible sheath), is the oil gauge MS-1. For the transformer with the extender without flexible sheath and dilator for contactor RPN is the oil gauge MS-2.
