Middle grade melons, from germination to technical maturity 70-80 days. The rind is yellow, slightly net. Fruits biconvex shape, not cracked, the average weight is 2 kg. the Flesh is cream-white, 5-6 cm thick, crispy, juicy, sweet. The yield is 24.5 t/ha.
Dido - resistant to powdery mildew and bacteriosis, transportable variety, it thrives in light fertile soils.
In climatic zones of Ukraine melon is best grown seedling method. Seeds are sown in early April. To achieve this, they need to soak, wait until they hatch, and drop two seeds in peat pots of size 10x10 cm. The pots must be filled with soil up to half - when the seedlings will stretch, you need to pour the soil.
In open ground the melons are planted from 18 to 25 may, when the threat of frost and the soil warms up to +16°C. In each well, you need to add 1.5 kg of compost or humus. When planting it is necessary to strictly observe the spacing is 1.4 m, the number of seedlings of melons are planted at a distance of 0.7-1.4 m. the plants leave 6-7 ovaries, and pinch off the stems on the fruit are 3-4 a piece.
