Wisteria, or Wisteria – a very showy, hardy, large, beautifully flowering deciduous vine. Its fragrant flowers are white, blue, purple or Magenta. They look like moths and are collected in large hanging brush. Wisteria belongs to the legume family, so the flowers she have the typical bean shape, similar to the flowers of peas and beans. Fruit – elongated (10-15 cm) grey-yellow beans with dense pubescence, long fall (hold until next spring), 1-3 lenticular seeds. Live Wisteria 100 years and more. Known instances in which more than 150 years.

With good care and appropriate support Wisteria reaches a height of 20 m and more. The Mature plant is hardy, but at a young age in North areas in need of shelter.

Perhaps no flowering vine does not produce such a lasting impression as Wisteria. She's adorable and the flowers and leaves.
