Vibration should be measured on all bearings or the bearings of the equipment in the horizontal plane which passes through the rotational axis, in the directions (vertical, axial, lateral) as close as possible to the axis of rotation.

 

Measurement vibration bearings should be periodic in nature and depend on the state unit. If the vibration condition of the equipment is estimated at "good" ("excellent"), the measurements are carried out monthly if satisfactory, - twice a month. Periodic vibration measurement units need be performed under the same loads of the turbine, but they have to be half (minimum) of rated load.

It should be noted, that defects in the bearings are a common situation during operation industrial equipment. This element of the rotating mechanism most often of the nodes goes down. To identify the causes of the appearing of oscillations, it is recommended that vibration measurement of the bearing.
