65G wire is made of construction spring-spring steel, which is composed of 0.62 – 0.7% carbon and 0.9 – 1.2% manganese, which have a decisive influence on its physical and mechanical properties. Steel 65G applied to spring coiling, the manufacture of spring washers and other parts with requirements of high wear resistance and elasticity. Products from this material have a high susceptibility to shock loads, so the conditions should exclude their occurrence. Steel has poor resistance to oxidation, therefore, in accordance with the requirements of GOST 9389 wire made from it should be covered with a layer of preservative grease. The mechanical properties depend on the surface.
