The brass pig is a feedstock for the production of products by means of metal. There are two types of metal: cold or hot deformation. From the initial raw material, brass ingots, manufacture of pipe, tape, hexagons, wire, bars andsheets. Brass ingots can be used for melting of alloys for various purposes as ligatures or self. Brass ingots are available in the form of ingots or bars of various weights. In the domestic market it is possible to buy brass ingots weighing from 24 to 27kg. The maximum possible weight of the ingot does not exceed 45kg. The production of brass ingots is carried out according to GOST 1020-97.
