Sodium fluoride is used in metallurgy during extraction of aluminum, beryllium and other metals; aluminium production; laboratory practice; for wood preservation; to combat agricultural pests; in the manufacture of enamels and fluxes; water fluoridation; for glass melting; to obtain a number of organic compounds containing fluorine, etc.
