Monoecious trees with wrong whorled branching and soft, deciduous in winter pine needles. Needles uzkolinejnye, 2-5 cm long, elongated shoots a single, regular, short - beams 20-50 needles. Cones of larch from 1 to 10 cm, ovate or nearly cylindrical with kajasto-woody scales. Cones ripen in the first year; at maturity they do not disintegrate and fall to the ground intact. Sometimes hang on the tree for several years.
Larch is a very valuable tree for Park construction due to rapid growth and an openwork crown, covered with soft bright green needles that fall is painted in Golden tones. Unpretentiousness to the soil, frost, smoke and gotostatement are extremely important biological properties of larch, forcing recommend it for the wide implementation of green building.
