Chemically resistant material. Significant impacts have only strong oxidants. In some organic solvents at room temperature slightly swells. Above 100°C soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons (toluene,benzene)
Polypropylene is water-resistant material. water absorption less than 0.5% (MES, 20°C) less than 2%(MES, 60°C). Resistant to mineral and vegetable oils. Withstands boiling and steam sterilization.
