THE MECHANISM OF ACTION OF THANOS

Two biologically active substances in the composition of THANOS, mutually reinforce and complement each other. Famoxadone – pin component THANOS, closely associated with the cuticle and remains in the wax layer of the leaf. This ensures the stability of the drug to washout. In contact with the sheet surface treated with THANOS, the zoospores are killed within 2 seconds.
Cymoxanil – local-system component THANOS, quickly penetrates the leaf and stem and has a preventive, protective and curative action. Cymoxanil moves in the leaves and in the stems from the bottom up. This compensates for the uneven distribution of working solution on plants during processing. The therapeutic effect is ensured even in the processing after 1-2 days after infection due to the reactions of hypersensitivity (cymoxanil stops the progression of the disease due to the encapsulation process of the infected cell plants).

 

RELIABLE SHIELDING EFFECT

THANOS is the only comprehensive fungicide, resistant to flushing. Contact component THANOS (famoxadone) forms on the surface of the sheet film and acts as a protective barrier that prevents the penetration of the pathogen inside the plant. Thanks to the ability to contact the cuticle famoxadone in 3 hours is not washed off by rain or water irrigation. Under the influence of moisture is more uniform redistribution on the leaf surface. Famoxadone has the unique ability of reactivation – it can move from the cuticle on the leaf surface that enhances the protective action. It makes THANOS almost indispensable in rainy weather and on irrigated plots.

 

PROTECTION AGAINST ALTERNARIA

THANOS is a highly effective drug for protection not only from blight, and Alternaria. Experiments have shown that its effectiveness against Alternaria significantly exceeds the effectiveness of other drugs. So THANOS is widely used for protection against Alternaria throughout the growing season.

 

THANOS IN THE PROGRAM OF POTATO PROTECTION

A correctly written program of treatments with fungicides to protect potatoes against late blight and Alternaria - the basis for high yield potato. Especially important the first treatment, as mistakes made at this time, it is very difficult to correct subsequent processing. The first field processing should provide:
• surface protection of potato plants against external infection (entering the stem and leaves of zoospores);
• the elimination of sources of contamination on the surface of the soil;
• the therapeutic effect in plants against internal hidden (usually stem) infection.
Especially important is the protection of potato plants from stem blight, which has a longer incubation period (10 days) between infection and appearance of first visible symptoms, and the affected stems, unlike the leaf, can sparodiroval longer time.

 

THE CHOICE OF FUNGICIDE FOR THE FIRST TREATMENT

Use only the contact of drugs for the first treatment does not provide remedial action within the plants (i.e. if there are internal latent infection, which is usually recorded with seed, she gets another 10-12 days for the development to the next treatment). Fully systemic drugs to use is dangerous because of the presence of resistant strains of the causative agent of late blight. Besides fully systemic medications is recommended to exclude completely on the seed potato.

 

Of all the fungicides THANOS is most suitable for the first two treatments. Contact component THANOS - famoxadone is one of the most powerful known fungicides against late blight and Alternaria. After processing, it creates a protective shield on the surface of treated plants destroying of zoospores. He has a unique resistance to washout – this is extremely important in rainy conditions and on irrigated plots.

 

Locally-systemic component of THANOS at the same time "cleans" the tissue of plants and provides a curative effect against latent infection. THANOS is one of the most powerful fungicides against hidden/stem infection. The high concentration of THANOS in the treated plants ensures its stable performance. Resistant to cymoxanil and znicit and THANOS forms of blight are not available.

 

The beginning of the first treatments usually coincides with the last term of processing herbicidally (at the height of the plant up to 20 cm) before closing rows. At the present time to provide guaranteed protection often the first treatment must be carried out earlier at the height of the potato 5-10 cm, especially at chipsaway and seed potatoes.
