Kiev Museum Russian art is one of the most famous collections of Ukraine. It is located in the premises of the mansion Theodore Tereshchenko (con.XIXand beginning of XX century). The Museum owns the largest a collection of Russian art in Ukraine.In the collections there are more than 12000 exhibits from the icons of the XIII century paintings and sculptures of the XX century and is the only such Museum of Russian art in the former Soviet Union beyond Russia's borders. In the basis of the Museum Fund was established over 80 years ago, the Kiev art gallery - so the original was called the Museum joined the art collection of the Kiev Industrialists and philanthropists tereshenkov.
