Lathe JET BD-3 is designed for machining (turning) of workpieces made of metals and other materials in the form of bodies of revolution. On lathes perform turning and boring of cylindrical, conical and shaped surfaces, threading, and trimming the ends, drilling, reaming and reaming the holes.
The workpiece receives the rotation from the spindle, cutter — cutting tool — moves together with the slide chassis from the shaft or lead screw receiving rotation from the feed mechanism.
This model lathe JET BD-3 offers the following technical and structural features: machine bed made of cast iron to work without vibration, polished guide rails ensure accurate movement of all parts of the machine. High-performance DC motor power 0.15 kW. Smooth change of the rotational speed from 100 to 3800 rpm. Cross support with adjustable guides. Protective screen cartridge end sensor.
