Based on the work of the boiler long burning used simple method - match burns slower if it to burn up vertically with flames than in inverted head down or horizontally.
So, the majority of coppers of long burning uses the principle of combustion of the fuel which starts to burn in the upper layer (12-15 cm) and as a burn-out transition to the rest of the fuel from the top to the bottom, while the lower layer is dried and burns more efficiently. This scheme of combustion does not heat the heat exchanger housing above 550 °C, thereby increasing the longevity of the boiler.
The principle of the upper combustion allows to achieve the efficiency of boilers up to 91% and a record long burning fuel that is not yet available to other solid fuel boilers. The duration of the operation of the boiler on one tab of the coal up to 5 days.
