Birch activated charcoal brand BAU-A (GOST 6217-74) made from clean wood of a birch under the influence of water vapor at the temperature of 800 — 950°C with subsequent crushing.
Charcoal BAU-A is a highly effective absorbent and is widely applied in the beverage industry for purification of alcohols from the excess of fusel oils and make the drink softer and more "rounded" flavors.
Charcoal brand BAU-A has gained popularity among distilleries and bootleggers due to the strong porosity, providing efficient absorptive capacity.
Application method and dosage.
To fill activated charcoal directly into the container of the distillate (based on 100 g of coal in 2 liters of drink) and give settles within 2-3 days. Then strain through filter paper or cotton wool.
