We welcome you to the website of the official representative of one of the largest manufacturers of glass jars in Ukraine and the world – Owens-Illinois. We are partners and support for businesses in our country, because every day we provide dozens and hundreds of both local enterprises and private households with glass containers.
Manufacturing glass containers involves a number of procedures, equipment, materials and, of course, team members. The key to achieving optimal control is eliminating changes in the production process itself.
O-I achieves this by investing in improved products and equipment efficiency. O-I's history of innovation dates back to the 20th century, when Michael J. Owens developed the first fully automated glassblowing machine to produce bottles.
This machine produced a phenomenal 13,000 bottles per day, compared to the 600 per day that a skilled glassblower could produce. Current machines can produce more than 1,000,000 bottles per day. At the same time, production speeds require optimal control of the process and the elimination of changes in it, from loading raw materials into the oven, to the operation of machinery that produces, manages, controls and packages the final product for transport.
