At present time Burundaiavia helicopter fleet consists of 14 helicopters MI-8MTV-1 based at Boraldai airport that is situated within 5 km from Almaty city. According to the airline program the airline fleet will consist of 20 helicopters by the end of 2008. In order to work on international air routes the helicopters are equipped with western IFR and navigation aids, that make them capable to fly in night or low visibility conditions.
Burundaiavia Airline is registered as an official supplier of goods and services to the United Nations. At present time Burundaiavia is successfully performing helicopter operations under long-term contracts with the United Nations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Sudan.
Burundaiavia airline provides a broad range of helicopter services in Kazakhstan and abroad including passenger and cargo air transportation, installation and construction works, installation and maintenance of oil drilling equipment, offshore works, fire-fighting, Medevac, S&R and EMS operations, air patrolling, aerial photo and video survey flights.
